Privacy Policy
This privacy policy explains how this personal archive blog handles information. It applies to all visitors and anyone who submits a message through the contact form.
Data We Collect
When you use the contact form on this website, you may choose to provide your name, email address, phone number, and a message. These fields are optional except where marked as required. The information is submitted through a static HTML form and is not stored in a database or processed by an external form service. The data is sent directly to the email inbox associated with this blog and is used solely to respond to your inquiry.
This website does not collect IP addresses, browser fingerprints, or device information. There are no analytics scripts, no tracking pixels, and no behavioral monitoring tools installed. The only external resource loaded is the Google Maps iframe in the location section, which operates under Google's own privacy and data policies.
How We Use Data
The personal data you submit through the contact form is used for one purpose only: to respond to your message. Your name and email allow a direct reply. Your phone number is optional and is only used if you specifically request contact by telephone. Your message content is read manually and is not shared with any third party, affiliate, or partner organization.
Data is not sold, rented, or traded. It is not used for marketing, profiling, or automated decision-making. There is no newsletter subscription system, no remarketing, and no data aggregation for statistical purposes. The archive blog is a personal project, and the data handling reflects that simplicity.
Cookies
This static website does not use analytics cookies, tracking cookies, or advertising cookies. The only cookie-related mechanism is the optional cookie and privacy notice bar at the bottom of each page. This notice is implemented using HTML and CSS only. It does not set a browser cookie, does not use localStorage, and does not communicate with any external consent management platform.
When you click the Accept button on the cookie notice, the bar is hidden on the current page view using a CSS checkbox state. This choice is not stored permanently. If you refresh the page or visit another page on this site, the notice may appear again. The Accept control does not block Google Maps from loading and does not alter any site functionality.
Cookie and Privacy Notice
The floating cookie and privacy notice at the bottom of every page serves an informational purpose. It reminds visitors that this is a static website without tracking, that Google Maps may load external resources in the location section, and that submitted message details are used only for responding to inquiries. The notice is not a consent management tool in the regulatory sense because there is no tracking to consent to. It is provided as a transparency measure.
User Rights
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and similar privacy frameworks, you have the right to access, correct, and delete your personal data. Because this website does not maintain user accounts or persistent databases, exercising these rights is straightforward. You may request a copy of any message you have submitted, ask for corrections to contact details you provided, or request deletion of your message and any associated correspondence.
To exercise any of these rights, please use the contact form on the main page or send a direct email to the address listed below. Your request will be acknowledged and processed without undue delay. There is no automated portal for these requests because the volume and technical infrastructure do not require one.
Data Correction and Deletion
If you believe that any information you have submitted through the contact form is inaccurate, you may request a correction. If you wish to have your message and any related email thread deleted, you may request deletion. Such requests are honored unless there is a legitimate legal reason to retain the data, which is unlikely given the personal and non-commercial nature of this blog.
Messages are typically retained only for as long as necessary to complete the conversation. After a reasonable period, emails are deleted from the inbox. There is no long-term backup system for contact form submissions.
Google Maps
The location section on the main page contains an embedded Google Maps iframe. This is the only external resource loaded by this website. When you view the location section, Google may load its own scripts, cookies, and tracking mechanisms according to Google's privacy policy. This website has no control over Google's data practices. The map is provided for convenience and displays the address associated with this blog.
If you prefer not to interact with Google Maps, you may avoid scrolling to the location section or use a browser extension that blocks third-party iframe content. The rest of the website functions fully without loading the map.
